You know that hum in the air when springtime bursts on the tired tail-end of winter? The buzz and the hum of -- bees!
This necklace is built around a sculpted freshly-blooming branch. It drips with pearl and faceted emerald dangling to tempt the honey-colored bee to stop and smell the flowers. Lots of green and golden pearls, green and golden garnets and 18k. Bali gold accent the sculpture and the stringing. A faceted
3 ct. emerald is also tucked into the branches. On the opposite side of the necklace, aquamarine and chalcedony loop around to trace the bees flight.
This necklace won a first place in the annual Bead Dreams contest sponsored by Bead & Button magazine this year, and was featured in their contest spreads in the Sept. 2005 issue.
The necklace clasps at the back with a custom sculpted toggle, in the same leafy style.
